Strategy for environment protection in Brcko district
AGENORE and Center for ecology and energy from Tuzla, started implementation of activities on development of ten-year Strategy for environment protection in Brcko district. Activities are financed by Brcko district Government.
Main goal is to define strategic directions for environment protection in the field of nature, air quality and waste treatment as well as to propose action plan of priorities for improvement of current situation in Brcko district environment. Eminent experts in relevant fields of environment protection are engaged for strategy development and they will, together with working group of local representatives, work on defining goals, priorities and measures for protection of environment in Brcko district. In order to provide document to contain reflection of real needs in local community, representatives of NGOs and communities as well as other citizens are actively included in the process of strategy development.
Strategy will give a frame for further actions and financing in this field as well directions for harmonization with European rules and international conventions for environment protection.
