Project name: OECD SME Policy Index project
Agenore`s role: Management consultancy for the Review of the BiH SME Policy Index
Project Description
For the next three years Bosnia and Herzegovina along with the other governments of the Western Balkans are collaborating with the European Commission (EC), Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Training Foundation (ETF) in reviewing progress in charter implementation using a common matrix structure. This will enable a clearer comparison of progress made.
Following consultation with key stakeholders within and outside the BiH Governments, the draft policy index for BiH was presented at a national bi-lateral meeting on October 25, 2006 in Sarajevo. Following the bi-lateral meeting, Eurecna S.p.A., our partner company that was commissioned by OECD and EC to carry out a brief independent review of the policy index report hired the Agenore’s Consultant to make a revised version of the BiH Governments view of progress made. This consisted of:
Ø Review of the documentation used by the Government in producing its report
Ø Interview of the National Charter Policy Co-ordinator to discuss process and conclusions
Ø Interview with selected key stakeholders
Ø Review of documentation from other sources.
On the basis of these steps, the Agenore’s Consultant produced a revised index indicating where the government’s assessment might be adjusted up or down the index, highlighting the index level and providing a brief explanation. This report is organised into the 10 sections of the EU Charter for SMEs.
