Project name: Drafting of Strategy for environment protection in Brcko district BiH for 2008.-2018. period

Project decription:

Consortia formed by Agenore and Center for ecology and energy from Tuzla was engaged for implementation of activities on drafting the ten-year Strategy for environment protection in Brcko district BiH. Creation of Strategy was finances by Brcko district Government.  

Project goal:

Main project goal was to define strategic directions for environment protection in the field of nature, air quality and waste treatment as well as to propose action plan of priorities for improvement of current situation in Brcko district environment. Eminent experts in relevant fields of environment protection were engaged for strategy development and together with working group of local representatives, they worked on defining goals, priorities and measures for protection of environment in Brcko district. In order to provide document to contain reflection of real needs in local community, representatives of  NGOs and communities as well as other citizens are actively included in the process of strategy development.

Project activities:

1.       Review of current situation in Brcko district environment

2.       Definintion of goals and priorities by each part of Strategy for environment protection

3.       Definition of measures for each constitutional part of Strategy

4.       Creation of Action plan for each constitutional part of Strategy.

Project result:

Produced the document Strategy for environment protection in Brcko district BiH for 2008.-2018. period which will be the frame for further actions and financing in this field as well directions for harmonization with European rules and international conventions for environment protection.
