Project description:

Brcko district goverment through tender procedure engaged consortia formed by AGENORE and „ECON“ Sarajevo for drafting of strategic document for agriculture development in Brcko district BiH. Expert team, formed by implementator, is consisted of over ten experts from the field of agro economy, farming, fruit growing, cattle rising and economy, drafted the document consisted of analyisis of present situation in sector of agriculture, food and rural development in Brcko district BiH as well as goals goals, priorities and measures for strategic development of agriculture in forseen period of realization.

Project goal:

Final project goal was to create the document Development strategy for agriculture, food and rural development in Brcko district for 2008. -2013. period that will be the local ownership of all citizens and the base for planning of activities directed to achieving set long-term goal of prosperity and efficiency in sector of agriculture, food sector and rural areas in Brcko district BiH.

Project activities:

-           Analysis of present situation in sector of agriculture;

-           Definition of platform, goals and mainstays of sector development;

-           Plannning of concept of agrar policy measures.

Project result:

Produced document „Development strategy for agriculture, food and rural development in Brcko district for 2008. -2013. period “, which will be the base for further planning of projects and creation of Action plan for implementation of measures and goals defined in Strategy.
